Omikron Data Quality Server (ODQS) - the backbone of SAP
For an SAP implementation to be successful, it is important that it has a backbone of good quality data. If not, the system will become untrustworthy for the users and cost managers reporting to fail.

Step 1: Start with a clean database
The old rule GIGO: Garbage In - Garbage Out is alive and kicking. Many believe that the challenge of data quality is so insignificant that they can fix it later. Step 2: Locate your customers with FACT-Finder Address-Search
The main reason that duplicates occurs is that the operator does not find the customer they are looking for when contacted. They therefore create the client again. FACT-Finder Address-Search is built on the same technology as the market-leading search and navigation solutions in Europe. The solution is fault tolerant and language independent, so it will always find your customers even if they are:
- misspelled
- Posted in the wrong data field
- Have abbreviations or missing data
Address-Search can also be configured so that it can find customer records in ERP / BI system. Since most errors occur in the registration phase, you can set up a surveillance of the recording. Is it the structural challenges of the systems or the human factor?
Step 3: The ongoing cleansing and match with Duplicate Check
Although step 1 and 2 are followed, there will always sneak irregularities into the segments. The program Duplicate Check will deal with the ongoing cleansing and matching of the databases. It can:

- Match data across databases and systems
- Maintain the customer hierarchy updated

Step 4: Update the reference data
When your operators talk to customers, or send a letter or invoice, it is important to have the correct phone and address information. We work with leading actors on reference data. The update can be done as an automatic routine.
Step 5: Extend with several modules for improved data quality

- Service module. You can check if the domain for E-mail addresses are valid and whether telephone numbers are existing and working
- Sanction list comparison. You are ensured that no customers are on the EU list of individuals and companies that are illegal to work with
- Gender assignment. You can determine the sex of your customers
